NTC displays the newest top products in the catalog. The number at the bottom left of the icon indicates its position in the catalog 'hottest product' ranking. This page is good for seeing the best of what's new so you don't have to look through a bunch of old stuff you've seen already. Also for developers to know how their new products stand in positioning.
